General Rudskoy said that the Russian government will support the families of servicemen who died while participating in the special military operation in Ukraine.

Ukraine's damage

According to Rudskoy, after more than a month of fighting, Ukrainian forces have lost more than 14,000 soldiers and the total number of casualties is about 30,000 people, equivalent to 11.5% of the force. All 24 major Ukrainian units suffered "heavy losses".

"Currently, the Ukrainian air force and air defense systems are almost completely destroyed. The country's navy is also no longer active," Mr. Rudskoy added.

Russian forces carried out airstrikes on 16 main airfields of the Ukrainian army and destroyed 39 weapons and equipment depots, where 70% of military vehicles, equipment and fuel were concentrated, as well as more than 1 million tons of ammunition. Russia's high-precision weapons also hit 30 key industrial-military factories.

Complete the first stage

"Overall, the main objectives of the first phase of the military operation in Ukraine have been completed," Rudskoy said.

He explained that the significant weakening of Ukraine's military potential would allow Russia to focus all of its energy on its main goal: the liberation of the Donbass region, while the military operation would continue until "completed." all the goals set forth by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Army."

Russian forces have blockaded several major Ukrainian cities including Kiev, Kharkov, Chernigov, Sumy and Nikolayev. Kherson and much of Zaporozhye are under complete Russian control.

"People, as well as some experts, question what we do around the blocked Ukrainian cities. We did not plan to attack these cities in the first place, to prevent destruction. destroy and minimize damage to military personnel and civilians," Rudskoy said.

According to the Russian military official, Russian weapons "have demonstrated high accuracy, reliability and the ability to be deployed in a timely manner".
