Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov on May 2 announced that the country's air defense forces destroyed 10 unmanned aerial vehicles and 2 Tochka-U missiles of Ukraine.


"Russia destroyed 10 Ukrainian drones near the communities of Veseloye and Balakleya in Kharkov, Kiselevka in Kherson, Mayak in Zaporozhye, Dokuchaevsk, Korsun and Khanzhenkovo ​​in the Donetsk region and near the city of Lugansk," Konashenkov said.


Two Ukrainian Tochka-U tactical missiles were shot down near the city of Petrovskoe in the separatist Lugansk region and one Smerch was destroyed in the vicinity of the Donetskoye community. The Russian armed forces also shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet during a dogfight near Slavyansk.


In the past day, Russian warplanes have fired high-precision missiles at 38 Ukrainian defense facilities, including 4 command posts, 30 positions, areas of concentration of troops and military equipment of Ukraine. , and three missile and artillery depots near Pervomaiskoye and Ilyichevka. An Osa-AKM air defense system and a multiple launch rocket battery near Arkhangelovka were also destroyed.


In total, from the beginning of the military campaign to the present, Russia has removed from the combat circle of Ukraine 258 military aircraft, 683 drones, 281 air defense systems, 2,756 tanks and armored vehicles, 316 multiple rocket defense systems.
