After many years of working in Vietnam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan Anar Imanov said that many friends joked with him that half of him was Vietnamese.
"The Embassy of Azerbaijan was established in Vietnam in 2013 and I have the honor to be the first ambassador of Azerbaijan in this beautiful country. Some friends have told me that half of me is already a member of the Embassy of Azerbaijan. Vietnamese people", diplomat Imanov said at a meeting with reporters and journalists from press agencies on the occasion of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21).
"I highly appreciate the efforts of the press agencies in cultivating friendly relations between the two countries," the Azerbaijani Ambassador said.
"The Embassy is also looking for a new foundation in cooperation with press agencies. We are aiming to establish a page called Hanoi-Baku - an information sharing platform for the press. The two countries can post accurate and timely information on this site," said Imanov.
In his speech, Ambassador Imanov commented that Vietnam - Azerbaijan have many things in common. One of the common points is that the current path towards independence, freedom, happiness and development of the two countries has to go through struggles and difficulties.
