Belarus says Ukraine's military "has conflicts" with President Zelensky

Belarus believes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the country's military seem to be at odds on a number of issues.

RT reported that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on June 3 warned about a scenario where President Zelensky and the Ukrainian army could confront each other.

"In Ukraine, according to information that I have, a confrontation and conflict is starting to happen between Mr. Zelensky and the Ukrainian army," Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader said that the Ukrainian military seems to have a good understanding of the conflict situation with Russia and knows that they will not be able to maintain combat capacity for long. He said that Russia has changed tactics and Ukraine seems to be running out of troops, having to depend on the militia of the territorial defense force to fill the void.

In addition, the Belarusian President suspects that Mr. Zelensky seems to have an agreement with Poland on the "ceding of part of the western territory" and that the Ukrainian military will do everything to prevent this.

"Ukrainian military sees Mr. Zelensky granting special treatment to Polish citizens, and thinks this could be a step in ceding territory," Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader said that the Ukrainian military and nationalists will not let that happen. This is considered an issue that caused Mr. Zelensky and the military to have a conflict, according to Lukashenko.

Ukraine has not yet commented on the above information.

Last month, President Lukashenko accused Poland of intending to annex part of western Ukraine, an area that Warsaw considers "historically part of Poland". In April, the Director of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin also made similar information. The Polish side has denied these allegations, saying that this was a move to "promote distrust between Ukraine and Poland and undermine cooperation between the two countries".
