How to distinguish genuine Versace

There's a huge amount of counterfeit goods online, especially with high-end products such as clothes and shoes.

There's a big incentive to find ways to make fake goods seem more authentic so people will buy them.

In this case, I wanted to highlight how to spot the difference between the real thing and an imitation.

STEP 1: Look at The Brand

The first thing to look at is the brand itself. A fake logo looks fake and won't give a clue that it's fake. It doesn't matter how obvious it is if the logo design is very well thought-out.

STEP 2: Look at the Product

Next, check out the products themselves. Are they authentic and of a quality that reflects the price tag?

Can you tell if the product has been worn before? Does it look new, like it was just bought? If the answer is yes, then you're dealing with a counterfeit item.

STEP 3: Look at the Sourcing

If there are several identical products in the same store, the retailer must be taking a cut. So, even though there may be a high number of sales, it's likely that there's also a high level of profit.

On the other hand, if there are only a few products in the store, then it's unlikely the retailer made much money on the sale. And if you see multiple different brands in the same store, that means the retailer's marketing strategy is failing.

Another telling factor is where the product was sourced from. If the item comes from China, for example, then you know it's probably fake.

STEP 4: Check for the Shipping Details

The shipping details can also be a red flag. For example, if it shows it's shipped from a Chinese factory, it's almost certainly fake.

STEP 5: Check the Return Policy

If a company doesn't offer returns or refunds, then there's a good chance that it's a scam.

STEP 6: Check the Company's Reputation

Finally, it's important to check the company's reputation on Google. If they don't have any reviews, it's usually a red flag.

As long as the company offers a way to return the product and offers a refund for faulty items, then there should be no reason not to buy.
