Commenting on this, the KCNA news agency quoted the announcement of the National Aviation Administration of Korea on October 8 as saying: "Our missile tests are a normal self-defense measure, planned in advance. to protect national security and regional peace against direct military threats from the United States."


The agency also affirmed that the missile tests did not threaten or harm the safety of civil aviation as well as the safety of neighboring countries and the region.
